So we had the strangest thunderstorms today and the most beautiful double rainbow I have ever seen. I didn’t get a picture of the rainbows, but the sunset was spectacular. Here is a picture of my handsome hubby
Isn’t he the cutest?

I cannot tell you how long I have wanted to find an owl. I was so excited when my husband and I stumbled upon this very regal creature. Come to find out he…or she is a regular inhabitant in a local area park. I just could not believe my eyes when we pulled into the parking lot and stepped out of the car and there he was. I’m not sure if it is a he…but I have already named him Oscar![]()

We went back over this morning and I also shot some video with my Canon 7D.

It’s been awhile since I’ve posted a BEFORE and AFTER sample from a session. I think this is the best way to demonstrate the value of what I am able to offer my clients at A Moment to Keep Photography.
This image is from an engagement session on a very cold, damp and gloomy morning in McKinney, TX. Even so, you don’t really notice that part right?
It is important for me to creatively enhance images that I see can be much more. Painting with light, enhancing textures, and creating or intensifying the mood or emotion of an image is far more than any snap shot! The first image is perfectly fine, but I much prefer the look and feel of the second image because it has more “drama.” Photography is one area where drama is ok and most often encouraged. I LOVE IT!
The couple becomes more focused the special lighting effects of the foreground especially with the softer muted background with a touch of blur. I tend to try several techniques until I get something that strikes my interest. If you take a moment to study the images below, I am hoping that you can see the dramatic difference.
So if you are looking for that extra something special in your images, please contact A Moment to Keep Photography at info@amomenttokeep.com

I caught this little guy/gal
when I got home from work yesterday. We had a very lengthy conversation and he/she never flew away!

So we decided to head outside early this morning to capture some images while all of the snow was still untouched. We received record snowfall in
DFW. We had seven inches of snow in Wylie, TX.
